Happy Holidays

The time has come to take another psychological stock of ourselves, reflecting on and assessing on what we have done in the past year - both on our personal and professional lives. As uncomfortable as it is, we should review the highs and lows of the past 12 months, the successes and failures, the ups and downs, as truthfully as we can so that we can learn from our mistakes and try to make the next year work even better.

Cesc, me and the furry and funny LOL Cats would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 2012! Feliz Navidad y Prospero año Nuevo!!! Have a red-and-white Christmas!!!

Have a red-and-white Christmas, everyone! (Don’t laugh. Remember what happened to Scott Dann?)

Oh, and do be good.

Arsenal travelled to the Midlands last night. A landmark goal was scored by the home side but Yossi headed home a late winner for The Arsenal. We didn’t play particularly well and were fortunate to win – just as we were unlucky to win last weekend.

Shitty Cheaters

No, I didn’t watch the match but from my timeline, I can deduce that there was dodgy refereeing and that some Man Shitty players were so shitty, they were out to get our players sent off (Richards and Barry, here’s giving you an evil glare!). And guess what? The shitty fans actually had the gall to sing about our captain being theirs! The cheek! The temerity! The classlessness of them all!

Money can buy you players but it sure can’t buy you class. You’re no City Slickers, just Shitty Cheaters.

Red-Letter Weekend

The weekend kicked off last Friday’s cold afternoon with the unveiling of not one, not two but three Arsenal erections. The exciting erections are part of Arsenal’s 125th anniversary celebration and they are of Herbert Chapman, Tony Adams and Thierry Henry. Titi was overcome by emotions and the experience left him tearful. It was all done nicely – the Arsenal way, but of course. Very classic of good old Arsenal.

The anniversary celebration continued with the home match against Everton on Saturday. Legends and erstwhile heroes were invited to share in the celebrations that started long before kick-off. It was a frustrating first half and I was beginning to wonder if the curse of Cesc’s tweet had struck again. Either that or the players were distracted by the pre-match celebrations. And then came the one moment of quality – pure Arsenal quality of course. Eight players were involved in the build-up to the goal which was delivered by Robin in such class. And what more fitting to win the match with a ‘One-nil to The Arsenal’ chants. That was how the match ended and it was enough to propel us into the Champions League spot for the first time this season. Well, at least until later tonight when Chelshit meet Man Shitty. The neutrals will call it a match where Old Money meet New Money but this Gooner will call it a match where Old Twat meets New Twat.

The kit worn on Saturday. Classy old Arsenal
Rambo’s boots. Classy bloke!
Classy volley!
Now we can have that ball after all. Get the party started!

Thursday Night Live

It’s a miserable day in Manchester today as both sides of Manchester were thumped out of the Champions League (for pictures, go here). The current top two clubs in the EPL out! Shocker!!! And to think that Arsenal were in danger of not qualifying at all and yet are still alive.

Hope they look forward to Thursday night football in Manchester. Because Thursday nights have just got a whole lot sexier in Manchester.
