Murder On The Dancefloor

Arsenal travelled to Liverpool on Saturday for a lunchtime kick-off. We played badly especially in the first half. It was only memorable for Theo’s early attempt, Szczęsny’s penalty save and the unfortunate own goal by Koscielny (it must be said that Liverpool weren’t any better as they needed our help for their goal). I must say I’m not sure who’s a better actor now between Bale and Suarez. The latter, as Arseblog put it, ‘suffers from one of the most bizarre and unique medical conditions ever seen. Regardless of how or where he is tackled, he always seemed to feel the impact on his shins. Such is the sensitivity of these shins that even when there’s no contact at all, the poor Uruguayan suffered terrible, searing pain. Even when Szczęsny didn’t touch him, his anguished leap into the air like an electrocuted bunny was enough to convince Mark Halsey who couldn’t possibly have seen whether there was contact or not that it was a penalty.’

Well, Szczęsny saved it and the rebound too.

Against the run of play, Sagna flicked over a cross to Robin, one so splendid, superb, stupendous, sexy and delicious. The captain, who hadn’t been much involved, duly headed it in.

That’s our head boy ;)

Somehow we got away with murder and after being killed in the first-half.

Not long after the second half began, Arsenal lost Arteta to ‘a piece of foul play which has gone largely unreported. As Arsenal came away with the ball Jordan Henderson, quite deliberately and off the ball, shouldered the unfortunate Arteta who just happened to turn his head into it at that exact moment.’ No, I didn’t catch it but Arseblog documented it and also has the gif (watch it). It was bad enough to knock the Spaniard out cold and it was subsequently revealed that he had a concussion. Arteta was stretchered off with an oxygen mask on. I hope you’re satisfied, Henderson.

Somehow Arsenal played better after that - I must say that the midfield didn’t perform that day. Arteta, Yossi, Rosický or even Song. I was getting agitated and wondered if both teams were happy to settle for a draw – they certainly looked to be doing that - and urged the lads on, ‘C’mon Arsenal, do it for Arteta!!!!!!!!’ and literally seconds later, Song redeemed himself with a beautiful pass. Robin took it and from a very difficult impossible tight angle, somehow scored. As Wenger said, from not a lot, our Captain did a lot.

RvP broke his Anfield duck ;')

AVB was sacked by Chelshit yesterday, proving that the Abramovich’s ownership style is risible and that the job at Stamford Bridge is a high risk. I think it’s safe to say that we saw it coming but it’s strange that the owner listened and indirectly gave in to the senior players instead. Many are more interested in playing for themselves than for their club so why did Abramovich back them up by removing AVB? And that’s the difference between Arsenal players and Chelshit players. The Gunners would stand behind the managers and support him and play for him while the Chelshit players would disobey, disrespect and get their manager sacked. Chelshit players would sabotage their team/club/manager if it meant getting their way. And apparently the players hate di Matteo even more than AVB.

I don’t blame AVB for trying to institute changes; that was why he was brought in, to do exactly that (which includes winning the CL). Chelshit had sacked a very good manager who defended his players but who in turn responded by stabbing him in the back. Of course AVB isn’t entirely blameless either. He isolated the players and gave some the cold treatment. Surprising for someone who speaks English very fluently and hence should know how to communicate better.

It’s murder at the Bridge and it is AVB who came under the axe.
